Kia ora, I’m Fiona,

I am a qualified Early Childhood Education teacher with over 20 years of experience working alongside young children and their families.

Throughout my career, I have held a variety of roles, including teacher and centre manager. While I valued the leadership opportunities that came with management, I chose to step back from that role so I could spend more time where my passion truly lies—working directly with children and supporting their learning and development.

I believe that play is at the heart of children’s learning.

Through meaningful play experiences and the guidance of caring, responsive teachers, children build the foundations they need to become strong, capable, and happy individuals. Creating nurturing environments where children feel valued, confident, and inspired to explore is something I am deeply passionate about.

Outside of my professional life, I am a proud mother to three grown daughters and share a wonderful life with my amazing husband. Together, we enjoy the company of our two dogs and embrace a quiet, family-centred lifestyle.
