Kia ora koutou, my name is Rachael,
I hold a dual role of both Registered Kaiako and Early Intervention Teacher here at Wise Owl. I have worked in the field of Early Childhood for over 20 years in a variety of settings such as Kindergartens, Private Centres and Home-based. I am passionate about working collaboratively with whaanau and tamariki, using an inclusive, culturally responsive, strengths-based approach. I believe in working to a child’s strengths and interests, finding creative, natural ways to ensure that all tamariki have equitable access to a high-quality education.
I am Mum to 5, 2 of whom are grown, busy studying, travelling and working. I have lived and worked in the Franklin area for many years and reside on the fringe of Pukekohe in the countryside with my 3 younger children and Husband. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, thrifting, gardening and doing home improvements.
