Kia ora Wise Owl Whaanau, my name is Abigail and I am a qualified kaiako here at Wise Owl.
I am a proud mother to three beautiful tamariki who are my passion and drive to be a kind, present and caring kaiako.
I absolutely love teaching and it has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Building a strong and nurturing relationship with the tamariki and their whaanau is very important to me and my practice. Through this relationship we can support the tamariki to learn and grow.
Kia ora koutou, ko Ann ahau. I am one of the fully registered Kaiako here at Wise Owl Early Learning Centre.
It was after the birth of my two boys (1988 and 1990) that I made the decision to have a career change and entered the world of early childhood education. Initially I worked in the home based sector before moving to centre based, completing my Diploma of Early Childhood Education in 2004.
Being a Kaiako and providing tamariki with experiences that scaffold them is truly a privilege and each day brings wonder and learning for myself and the tamariki I work with. Providing a safe, caring and supportive environment where tamariki can grow and develop holistically as individuals is important to me.
I am very excited to be working as part of this teaching team, working alongside whānau to make tamariki early years fun, full of curiosity and excitement.
